It is easy to add the traveline logo to other regional traveline websites. Just copy the favicon for this website and save it in the root directory of your regional traveline webserver.
To ensure use in as many browsers as possible you could also add the following lines somewhere between <head> and </head>) in the HTML:
<link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" /> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />It is recommended that all traveline websites use this favicon file, which PTIcymru has kindly provided, rather than have each traveline website showing a slightly different version of the traveline website.
If you bookmarked travelinedata.org.uk and PTIcymru website before March 2006 then you may already have two versions of the traveline data in your browser cache and be able to see just how untidy slighly different version look when listed beside each other. To rectify this you need to view the files in your browser cache and delete the relevant favicon.ico files.
Do you have any other suggestions for getting greater conformity between the regional websites?
Remember to consider DDA website design issues.
