I want to download the graphics and find advice on how to use them.

API

An API is now available. To use the API you need to locate a stop for which the information is required – and then to send that stop as a code (either AtcoCode or NaptanCode, taken from the NaPTAN database). AtcoCode is the preferred option as it is the NaPTAN key for each stop.

The API will return scheduled departure times or, where real-time is available to NextBuses, it will return a real-time estimate instead. Not all real-time services currently feed to NextBuses – and in areas where this does not happen, then NextBuses can only show scheduled departure times.

Commercially the NextBuses service will cost an app developer an entry fee of £100 to obtain an approved log-in to the service. There are no ongoing costs thereafter for that one app, whether it accesses the service directly or through a proxy server.
