TRAVELINE CYMRU GETS A NEW NUMBER

Following a decision made by Ofcom (Office of Communications) the Traveline Cymru public transport telephone information number will change from 1st February 2007.

The new number is 0871 200 22 33 and will run in parallel with the 0870 608 2 608 number until 28th January 2008. The new number is to be charged at 10 pence per minute from a BT Landline.

Traveline Cymru is the Welsh Assembly funded public transport information service in Wales providing route and timetable information for all public transport operators in Wales.

In conjunction with the telephone information service, there is also a website www.traveline-cymru.info, Traveline.txt 84268 a service which sends bus times directly to your mobile phone and Modus, a personalised journey planning service.

• Traveline Cymru telephone information line 0871 200 22 33 (open 0700-2200 daily, calls charged at 10 pence per minute). The callcentre is based in Porthmadog and all of our agents are bilingual.

• Get your bus times by text using Traveline.txt, Every bus stop in Wales has a unique seven digit code (either marked at the stop or available on the stop locator on the website). When that code is text to 84268 for the price of a normal text message, the enquirer will receive a free reply with information about the next 4 buses due at that stop.
• Modus personalised travel plans is PTI Cymru‘s way of encouraging commuters to use public transport. PTI can provide every individual in a business / organisation in Wales with a free of charge personalised journey plan detailing how they are able to travel to work and home again using public transport. 65000 of these plans have been produced since May 2004.
